Uzbekistan, South Korea organize co-op in pharmaceutical field

Seminar on development of Uzbek pharmaceutical industry was organized in the South Korean capital of Seoul, with the participation of large South Korean pharmaceutical companies and Uzbek delegation, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

During the stay of Uzbek delegation in South Korea, negotiations were held with leaders and representatives of a number of ministries and departments, such as Korean Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (KPBMA), Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), Korean Health Care Development Institute (KHIDI), and South Korean pharmaceutical companies.

In particular, an agreement was reached with the Korean Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Manufacturers Association to cooperate in attracting South Korean pharmaceutical companies to establish production and research centers in Uzbekistan.

Implementation of previously reached agreements on the creation of production of antidiabetic drugs in Tashkent was discussed with the Dalim Biotech company.

In addition to the production of antidiabetic drugs, the company plans to build a clinic and a plant for the production of cosmetics, and thereby create a “Dalim cluster”.

An agreement was reached with BioCure and Dream World Medicine on the implementation of a joint project for the production of biopharmaceutical products and essential medicines in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan.

Also, links were established with large South Korean pharmaceutical companies Kyung Dong Pharm Co. Ltd and DongKoo Bio & Pharma Co., Ltd by signing relevant agreements on cooperation in the development of pharmaceutical industry in Uzbekistan.
