Spots for processing livestock products to open in 2 Azerbaijani districts

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan plans to open new spots for processing of livestock products in Azerbaijani districts, Sakina Babayeva, head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, told Trend.

She said that such points for washing and cleaning of sheep wool and skins will open in two Azerbaijani districts.

“We plan to open such spots in Imishli and Bilasuvar districts,” she noted. “In the future, we plan to carry out similar work in 11 districts of the country. This is an economically viable step, as it will provide residents of the districts with work, as well as create an opportunity for export of processed livestock products.”

She added that Turkey and South Korea are potential importers of wool and sheepskin.

Over 143,000 women are engaged in business sphere in Azerbaijan, according to statistics.

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was created with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan and was established in October 2017.
