In January 2019, 3,825 ships arrived at Turkish ports, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Feb. 20.
The ministry stated that 1,311 vessels sailing under the flag of Turkey and 2,514 vessels sailing under the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports in January 2019.
The gross registered tonnage of all vessels in January 2019 amounted to 62.633 million tons.
The gross registered tonnage of the vessels arriving at Turkish ports under the flag of Turkey amounted to 8.976 million tons, and the gross registered tonnage of the vessels under the flags of other countries was 53.657 million tons, the ministry stated.
