The State Committee for City Building and Architecture of Azerbaijan plans to decide on a company that will help in the development of the general plan of the city of Baku by March, Anar Guliyev, head of the state committee, told Trend.
Guliyev said that the receipt of tender proposals for the development of the general plan of the city has recently been completed, adding that choosing a company will take several weeks.
Guliyev added that many international companies are interested in participating in the tender.
“Preparation of the general plan of cities as large as Baku takes a long time. We will do everything possible to speed up this process,” he said.
In 2018, the State Committee invited the reputed Boston Consulting Group for cooperation in organizing work on the preparing the general plan of Baku. The company helped in sketching a concept for the development of Baku.
