In January 2019, 20 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey, which is nine companies more compared to the same month of 2018, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend.
The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in January 2019 amounted to 5.462 million Turkish liras, while in January 2018, the total capital of registered Azerbaijani companies amounted to 2.030 million Turkish liras, TOBB noted.
TOBB noted that in January 2019, the largest number of companies with Azerbaijani capital was registered in Istanbul (18 companies).
However, one company with Azerbaijani capital was registered in Izmir province, and another in Mugla province.
In January 2019, three industrial companies with Azerbaijani capital, five construction companies, 10 retail and wholesale, one financial insurance company and one energy company were registered in Turkey.
Moreover, in January 2019 in Turkey as a whole, 11,400 companies were registered and 5,000 companies were closed.
