Civil Aviation Organization of Iran admits: more problems for airline industry next year

The head of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran admitted that the US sanctions have made the organization's work harder, and the situation is likely to continue in the next year (starts on March21, 2019).

"People are not familiar with our problems. This industry is important to society and it has expectations from us," said Ali Abedzadeh, the head of the Aviation Organization, Trend reports via Fars News Agency.

Abedzadeh made the remarks at a ceremony of presenting the new head of the Iran Airports Company.

Iranian Transport Minister Mohammad Eslami appointed Siavash Amirmokri as the new head of Iran Airports Company.

Amirmokri, who was the deputy head of Airports Company for resources management and development over the past years, replaces Rahmatollah Mahabadi at this position.

Iran Airports Company is the holding and operating company for civilian airports in Iran. Its headquarters is located at Tehran Mehrabad International Airport but it has offices at all airports in Iran.
