By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

Some 520 solar power stations will be put into operation in the poorest economically developed regions of the south of Iran’s Kerman Province by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Jafar Mohammadnejad, spokesman for Iran's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization SATBA, told the information portal of Iranian Energy Ministry, Trend reports.

According to Mohammadnejad, 5 kilowatt solar power stations will be commissioned in 125 villages.

Mohammadnejad added that additional power generated by these stations will be connected to the country's electricity grid.

"The stations have been installed by the Mah Taab company and its additional electricity will be purchased with a guarentee," he said.

Mohammadnejad said that the stations were installed in 90 days.

Increasing the number of alternative renewable energy sources in the poorest economically developed regions will help put an end to problems there, create jobs, and help build infrastructure required for development and renovation, he added.
