In February 2019, air cargo transportation in Turkey amounted to 523,300 tons, which is 4.9 percent more compared to February 2018, Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
The ministry noted that in February 2019, domestic flights transported 130,000 tons of cargo, while international flights accounted for 393,300 tons of cargo.
"In February 2019, domestic freight traffic decreased by 7.8 percent compared to February 2018. At the same time, the volume of cargo transportation by international flights increased by 9.9 percent compared to February 2018," the ministry said.
The ministry added that in February 2019, the amount of cargo at the four main airports of Turkey reached 453,100 tons.
