Transit of goods from Iran's Bashmaq customs drops

About $4.44 billion worth of goods were transited via the Bashmaq customs, located in the Marivan County of Iran’s northwestern Kordestan Province between March 21,2018-Feb. 21, 2019, Bakhtiar Rahmani, Director General of the Customs Office of Kordestan Province, told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Rahmani, exports of products decreased by 1 percent in terms of value, compared to the same period last year.
"Overall, 1.85 million tons of products were transited," he said.
Rahmani said the product transit decreased by 16 percent in terms of weight.
Rahmani added that 89,000 tons of goods worth $50 million were transited through the country starting from the Bashmaq customs.
The Bashmaq customs located in Kordestan Province is considered one of Iran’s main customs points.
Customs points are operating in the Sanandaj, Marivan and Baneh counties of the Kordestan Province of Iran.
