Uzbekistan Airways has launched its first Wi-Fi aircraft, the Airbus A320neo, Trend reports viaUzbek media.

“Today, March 14, the plane will make its first flight on the route Tashkent-Baku-Tashkent. It will depart from the capital’s airport at 01:40 pm (GMT +5),” the airline said.

The first passengers of the new aircraft will be able to appreciate its advantages and the amenities created in the cabin - modern design, comfortable and wide seats with individual screens for entertainment, the ability to use a communication system and Wi-Fi, improved sound insulation.

Fleet of Uzbekistan Airways was replenished with Airbus A320neo on March 11 of this year; the arrival of the second aircraft is expected in early April of that year.

The new Airbus A320neo has a two-class layout and is designed to carry 150 passengers (business class - 12, economy class - 138). It is 20 percent more economical than its predecessors thanks to the newest engines, providing the best fuel efficiency, and modern developments in the fuselage design, which improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft.

The flight range of a highly economical airliner has been increased from 4,500 to more than 6,000 kilometers, which will make it possible to cover the entire Central European region with flights.

In addition, recently it became known that Russian Yakutia Airlines offered officials and senators to support the purchase of six IL-114-100 aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways with Canadian engines.

However, Uzbekistan Airways has not yet sold any Il 114-100.
