Azerbaijan's population spends more on paid services

The volume of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan amounted to almost 1.33 billion manats in January-February 2019, which is 0.7 percent more than the same period last year, Trend reports referring to a report by the State Statistical Committee.

Most of the services (73.2 percent or 971.8 million manats) were provided to the population by legal entities.

With this, the total volume of services rendered by the public sector make up only 21 percent (279.6 million manats, a 1.9-percent increase over the year). The private sector provided services to the population worth nearly 1.05 billion manats (a 0.3-percent growth), including services provided to individuals worth 355.9 million manats (a 1-percent growth).

On average, an individual citizen spent 134.5 manats per month on paid services in January-February of this year, which is 4.3 manats more than the same period last year.
