Over 3,700 tons of commercial goods get standardization certificates in Iran’s Astara

In the 12th month of the previous Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), 441 tons of export products received certificates of conformity with national standards in the Astara district of Iran’s Gilan province, said Shahrokh Jafari, director of the Astara Standardization Department in Gilan, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that in the same month, 3,360 tons of imported products received 12 certificates of conformity.

He added that 441 tons of raisins and dates worth 35.9 billion rials (about $855,000) received certificates of conformity.

“The exported products that received the appropriate certificates have dropped by 17 percent in terms of weight, but increased by 81 percent in terms of value (compared to the 12th month of the previous year,” he said.

He noted that 12 certificates of conformity were issued for the import of steel products worth 51.7 billion rials (about $1.23 million).
