The total value of deposits in Azerbaijan amounted to 22.4 billion manats in February 2019, which is 8.29 percent more than in the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) April 6.
In particular, the value of deposits of non-financial organizations increased by 14.34 percent compared to February 2018 (11.07 billion manats), reaching 12.65 billion manats. The total value of deposits of legal entities in February 2019 reached 14.19 billion manats.
This is while the value of deposits of individuals increased by 5.98 percent, reaching 8.21 billion manats.
As of February 2019, deposits in foreign currency amounted to 14.57 billion manats (65.04 percent of total deposits), which is 1.92 percent less than in the same period last year.
A significant increase is also observed in deposits in national currency. Their value increased by 34.32 percent compared to February last year, reaching 7.83 billion manats.
