About $3B worth of products exported from Iran’s Kermanshah Province

Last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), products worth $2.9 billion were exported through the customs points and border markets of Iran’s western Kermanshah Province, Khalil Heydari, Director of Kermanshah Customs Administration, told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Heydari, the weight of the exported goods exceeded 5.89 million tons.

He added that the exported goods increased by 44 percent in terms of weight and 33 percent in terms of value, compared with previous year.

"some 3.97 million tons worth of products worth $1.7 billion were announced for export to Kermanshah, Parvizkhan, Khosravi and Paveh customs. This shows a 79-percent increase in terms of value and a 52-percent increase in terms of weight, compared to the same period of the previous year,” he said.

Heydari stated that other Iranian customs also exported 1.91 million tons of products worth $1.2 billion through Kermanshah’s customs – a 12-percent increase in value and a 5-percent increase in terms of weight, compared to the same period of the previous year.

He added that the products exported through provincial customs were mainly household items, detergents, tomatoes, potatoes, cellophane, ceramics, onions and cucumbers.

Water conditioners, various rubber products and polyethylene granules are also among the exported products.

Heydari added that most of the products were exported to Iraq.

"Last year, 895 types of products were exported to 38 countries through the customs of Kermanshah Province," he said.

Iran's Kermanshah Province has a 371-kilometer border with Iraq. Approximately half of Iran's exports to Iraq are carried out through 6 customs and border markets in Kermanshah Province.
