Airbus has delivered the second A320neo aircraft to Uzbekistan Airways, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekistan Airways.
“On April 9, the new A320neo made a flight from the Hamburg airport to Tashkent under the control of the Uzbek crew. This aircraft becomes the second one of this type in the national carrier’s fleet,” the message said.
The new airliner is designed to carry 150 passengers, with 12 passengers in business class and 138 passengers in economy class.
Airline calculated that the A320neo aircraft will be 20 percent more economical than their predecessors.
Uzbek Airlines planned to lease four A320 aircraft of several modifications in 2018.
Earlier, Trend reported that Uzbekistan Airways plans to purchase two A320neo aircraft from Airbus, which will allow it to expand the geography of flights in Central Asia. The first airliner was delivered on March 11.
