Products worth 130.9 million manats were manufactured by metallurgical companies in Azerbaijan in January-March 2019, Trend reports with reference to the country’s State Statistics Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry decreased by 13.9 percent while the production of finished goods decreased by 22.6 percent in January-March 2019.
Azerbaijan produced 70,200 tons of fittings in January-March 2019, which is almost 0.8 percent more than in January-March 2018.
In January-March 2019, 3,100 tons of steel pipes were produced in Azerbaijan, that is by 77.3 percent less than in January-March 2018.
The volume of steel casting production stood at 85,000 tons in January-March 2019, which is almost 2.3 percent less than in January-March 2018.
Azerbaijan exported 2,665.8 tons of ferrous metal pipes worth $2.108 million in January-March 2019, which is by 65.8 percent less (by 67 percent more in money terms) than in January-March 2018.
