In the second half of this year, small plants for the manufacture of milk and dairy products are planned to open in Azerbaijan’s border districts, Sakina Babayeva, the head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, told Trend.

She said that the opening of new production facilities is expected in the Jabrayil, Fuzuli and Goranboy districts.

“The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan will provide significant support in creating new plants in the country’s districts,” she noted. “We are planning to provide financial, informational and consulting support to women entrepreneurs in the districts. The Association’s financial contribution to the creation of new plants in the districts will make 16 percent of the plants’ value. Besides, we will render free training services at the plants.”

She noted that environmentally friendly products will be manufactured at the plants, including milk and cheese.

“We plan to open the first plant in the Jabrayil district,” she added.

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was created with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan and was established in October 2017.

Over 143,000 women are engaged in business in Azerbaijan, according to statistics.
