The Phase 1 of the Bisutun Steel Plant has been put into operation in Hersin county of Iran’s western Kermanshah province, Trend reports referring to Fars News agency.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and officials accompanying him attended the ceremony held in connection with the event.
Seven trillion rials were spent for putting the Phase 1 into operation, which employs about 350 people and allows for annual production of 200,000 tons of steel ingots. It is expected that by producing high-quality products, the plant can export its products.
