Kazakhtelecom to pay less amount of dividends

​Kazakhtelecom service provider is to allocate 8.6 billion tenge to dividend payments on common shares for the year 2018, Trend reports referring to Kazakh media.

“In accordance with the decision made during the annual meeting of shareholders of Kazakhtelecom JFC on April 30 2019, some 8.6 billion tenge is to be paid as dividends as a result of 2018, compared to 17.6 billion tenge as a result of 2017,” reads the message. Thus, it is two-fold decrease in the volume of the dividends.

“During the KASE sessions, one common share will be worth 781.06 tenge of dividend. The dividends are to be paid since May 6 2019,” the report said.

“In 2018 Kazakhtelecom made net profit worth 42.833 billion. Thus, some 20 percent of this profit is to be directed on dividend payments,” the statement said.

Kazakhtelecom possesses both common shares (10,922.876) and preferred shares (1,213,653). All shares are placed.

JSC Kazakhtelecom, the largest telecommunications company in Kazakhstan, has the status of a national telecommunications operator. The main shareholder of Kazakhtelecom is “Samruk-Kazyna” (45.9 percent of share capital or 52.03 percent of common shares).
