Russia exports high-tech prosthesis, medicines to Uzbekistan

Moscow companies will supply high-tech prostheses and medicines to Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

The parties reached such agreements at the 24th Tashkent International Medical Exhibition "Health-TIHE 2019".

The collective stand organized by the Moscow Export Center and subordinated to the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city of Moscow, presented 16 companies under the single brand “Made in Moscow”.

During the exhibition, negotiations were held with representatives of the largest state scientific and practical medical centers of Uzbekistan in the field of surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, oncology and radiology.

For example, the Moscow company Motorika, which creates functional prostheses for everyday life and digital rehabilitation platforms, has signed an agreement with VETERAN, the Association of veteran soldiers and disabled people of Uzbekistan.

The parties agreed on the introduction of new prosthetic technologies for members of the association and other potential consumers in Uzbekistan.

Another company JSC Bios successfully conducted an operation on its own equipment in one of the clinical centers of Tashkent. At a meeting of Moscow businessmen with representatives of the country's largest medical holding ASKLEPIY, agreements were reached on the supply of medicines to Uzbekistan.

The total volume of non-energy non-energy exports from Moscow to Uzbekistan in 2018 increased by more than 40 percent and amounted to $291.9 million compared to 2017.

The share of exports of medical and pharmaceutical products in non-primary non-energy exports from Moscow to Uzbekistan was 13.9 percent of these.
