In January-March 2019, the value of industrial services and goods produced in Baku increased by 3.5 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 9.8 billion manats, Trend reports referring to the Baku city statistical office.
"Some 82.5 percent of industrial production accounted for the mining industry, 15.4 percent - for the processing sector, 1.6 percent - for electricity production, and 0.5 percent - for waste treatment and recycling sector," the report said.
The share of the non-state sector in industry amounted to 83.4 percent, industrial production in the total volume of production stood at 88.2 percent, and the share of industrial services amounted to 11.8 percent.
"Most products were sent to consumers, taking into account the reserves created in previous periods," the report read. "Stocks of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises amounted to 275.5 million manats as of April 1, 2019."
Other products worth 45.2 million manats purchased from other enterprises and intended for sale, are also available in the warehouses of industrial enterprises.
