Turkey discloses most attractive Central Asian country for job opportunities

In January-April 2019, 356 Turkish citizens visited Central Asian countries, namely Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan through the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) to find work, ISKUR told Trend.

Uzbekistan is the most popular destination for Turkish citizens seeking employment in Central Asia, according to the agency. In January-April 2019, 169 Turkish citizens visited Uzbekistan through ISKUR, which is 32.1 percent less compared to January-April 2018.

During the reporting period, 114 Turkish citizens visited Kazakhstan via ISKUR, which is 28.1 percent more compared to January-April 2018.

In January-April 2019, 70 Turkish citizens visited Turkmenistan via ISKUR, which is 34.6 percent less compared to January-April 2018.

During the reporting period, three Turkish citizens visited Kyrgyzstan via ISKUR, while only one Turkish citizen visited the country in January-April 2018.

In April 2019, 122,913 people were provided with jobs in Turkey, which is 46.5 percent more compared to April 2018; 99.6 percent of them were employed in the private sector.

Among the citizens provided with job places, 32 percent account for women and 68 percent for men.

In April 2019, the number of unemployed reached 3.038 million people in Turkey, of which 50.1 percent accounted for women and 49.9 percent - for men, ISKUR reports.
