Baku, Azerbaijan, May 15

Trend:

Suspicions arose about the underestimation of customs value while processing goods imported by Forever Living Products Azerbaijan LLC, due to which expert examinations and other proceedings were conducted, Trend reports referring to the State Customs Committee (SCC).

It was established during the course of the proceedings that the suspicions of the customs officers were confirmed, and the prices of the goods were indicated far below their real value.

The accusations that the customs authorities declared a product imported as a food additive as medicine instead, are untrue.

As such, according to the results of the examination by the customs authority, the goods imported by Forever Living Products Azerbaijan LLC were registered as a food additive.

Before the completion of the proceedings, the goods were unloaded at the warehouse of the company for temporary storage.

According to the State Customs Committee, some media claim that the invoice prices for goods imported into the country by Forever Living Products Azerbaijan LLC were artificially inflated by customs authorities, and allegedly the State Customs Committee demanded that the food additives be registered as medicine.
