The consortium of Dutch companies Delfland-Asia and Bilancia plans to complete the implementation of projects for the construction of glass greenhouses in Uzbekistan in September-October this year, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The greenhouses will be built with Hydroponic growing system, boilers and heating in accordance with Netherlands’ technology, as well as the Hortimax irrigation system and fertilizer recycling and computerization of all processes.
It is planning to cultivate tomatoes according to European standards.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries Dilyor Khakimov met with the Director of Delfland-Asia, William Kuijpers, and the General Manager of Bilancia, Jan Vrins.
During the conversation, Dutch entrepreneurs noted a desire to further expand their presence in the Uzbek market.
The Dutch side confirmed the interest to open representative offices in Tashkent in the near future.
The creation of a joint venture in Uzbekistan with the subsequent localization of a part of components used in the construction of greenhouses and greenhouse complexes was identified as promising goals.
