Turkish company AzAgromila has built in Azerbaijan a plant for the production of organic fertilizers intended for use in the agricultural sector, Gurshad Bahadir Yildiz, director of the company’s sales department, told Trend.

He noted that the new plant recently launched into operation is located in Azerbaijan’s Hajigabul district.

“This is a joint Azerbaijani-Turkish plant created at the expense of the financial means of both sides,” he said. “The plant is designed to produce 10,000 tons of fertilizers per year, but we plan to double these volumes, and even increase them to 25,000 tons. At the same time, the entire profit of the plant will stay in Azerbaijan. A similar type of the plant operates in Turkey, and the entire production and technological process used there will be used at the new plant in Azerbaijan.”

The director of the department noted that organic fertilizers produced at the Hajigabul plant can be used in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables in the regions, including in greenhouse conditions.

“Using organic fertilizers can significantly increase the yield and improve the quality of fruits and vegetables,” he added. “This practice is widely used in Turkey. Our specialists are actively involved in the production process at the new plant, they are ready to share their experience in this field with their Azerbaijani colleagues, and also to provide full support for the promotion of this business in Azerbaijan.”
