Uzbek capital implements 19 projects worth over $600 M

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized with the presentation of promising investment projects planned for implementation in Tashkent, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

Currently, 19 new investment projects worth over $617 million have been prepared for implementation in the capital of Uzbekistan.

Most importantly, over 10,000 jobs will be created under these industrial projects. They are aimed at annual production of high-demand products in the amount of about $1 billion and export of goods for more than $290 million a year.

The projects provide for the manufacture of products with high added value and localization level, including a wide range of household appliances, elevators and excavators, pumps, water heaters, paper and building materials, food products, household chemicals, jewelry and glass products.

The enterprises are scheduled to be commissioned on the basis of unused facilities and areas of the Tashkent Mechanical Plant during 2019-2020.

The President noted that such projects are important for the manufacture of products in high demand and providing job opportunities. He gave instructions for the early launch of the submitted projects by effectively using the existing infrastructure of the city.

Responsible persons were instructed to develop additional project proposals for a total amount of at least $ 1 billion to organize manufacture of sought-after industrial products.
