Value of done deals on Uzbek stock exchange up by over 70%

For the period from 13 to 19 May 2019, deals in the amount of 1,364.1 trillion soums were concluded on Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which is 71.3 percent higher than for last week, Trend reports with reference to UZEX.

The total amount of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 692.5 billion soums, which is two times higher than last week.

The volume of exchange trading increased from 712.1 billion soums to 1255.7 trillion soums.

Goods worth $12.9 million were sold on the currency trading platform with a fivefold increase from the previous week.

In the export structure, cotton fiber took 76 percent, liquefied gas 16 percent, polyethylene of various grades 2 percent, and other products amounted to 6 percent.

The volume of exhibition and fair trade last week reached 26.4 billion soums, which exceeded last week's sales by 74 percent. The amount of sales of goods by small businesses amounted to 4.6 billion soums, or 17.5 percent of the total amount of transactions.

Last week, transactions worth 79.2 billion soums were concluded through a special public procurement information portal - xarid.uz. This amount is 18.8 percent higher than last week.

The total savings of budget and corporate customers exceeded 17.3 billion soums.

During the period under review, 717 car license plates were sold through an online auction. The total amount of sold state license plates was about 2.8 billion soums.

As a result of competitive bidding, 18 percent of completed deals fell on premium class license plates, 47.8 percent of deals on 2nd category and 34.2 percent on 3rd category of license plates.
