Iran continues to import sugar

Iran obtained 27,500 tons of sugar which were supplied to the Chabahar port in the country’s south-eastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Sistan and Baluchestan province Behruz Agayi said.

The sugar was imported as part of the procedure of timely provision the country with the necessary products, Agayi added, Trend reports referring to the Ports and Maritime Organization’s website.

Some 30,000 tons of sugar will be supplied to the Chabahar port till the end of the week, he said.

He added that afterwards, the cargo will be transported to the consumer market.

Agayi has not disclosed the country from which the sugar was imported.
