Int’l Bank of Azerbaijan leads TOP-4 banks

The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) has led the ranking of banks on financial indicators for the fourth quarter of 2018, Trend reports with reference to the “Business Outlook in Azerbaijan” report prepared by Deloitte.

In accordance with the report, total assets of IBA at the end of last year amounted to 7.9 billion manats, loan portfolio - 1.9 billion manats, deposit portfolio - 4.08 billion manats, share capital - 1.16 billion manats, interest income - 297 million manats, net profit - 426 million manats, while a loss of 130 million manats was observed in reserve deductions.

The IBA in the ranking is followed by Pasha Bank with total assets of 4.7 billion manats, credit portfolio - 1.3 billion manats, deposit portfolio - 3.9 billion manats, share capital - 418 million manats, interest income - 139 million manats, net profit - 77 million manats and a loss of 6 million manats in reserve deductions.

Kapital Bank took the third place in the ranking. The total assets of the bank amount to 3.7 billion manats, the loan portfolio - 1.5 billion manats, the deposit portfolio - 2.9 billion manats, the share capital - 372 million manats, interest income - 246 million manats, net profit - 98 million manats and reserve deductions - 93 million manats.

Xalq Bank wraps up the TOP 4 with total assets of slightly more than 2 billion manats at the end of last year, credit portfolio of 1.4 billion manats, deposit portfolio - 1.3 billion manats, share capital - 283 million manats, interest income - 87 million manats, net profit - 28 million manats and reserve deductions of 18 million manats.

As of late 2018, total assets of all banks operating in Azerbaijan amounted to 29.5 billion manats, credit portfolio - 12.1 billion manats, deposit portfolio - 18.7 billion manats, share capital - 4.04 billion manats, interest income - 1.2 billion manats, net profit - 306 million manats and reserve deductions - 330 million manats, according to the Azerbaijan Banks Association.
