“Projects of 'green' energy are particularly relevant to Kazakhstan, due to the fact that the energy sector of the country is very reliant of the coal. Furthermore, about 80 percent of the electricity production of the country accounts for coal-fired power plants, which are for the most part are outdated and do not meet present-day requirements,” the spokesperson said.

Thus, the ecology aspect is an important part of the 'green' projects realization. Their implementation will allow to decrease the greenhouse gas emissions by more than 300,000 tons a year, which, in turn, will provide for the reduction of harm effects of the economy on the ecology of the country.
