Iran's Esfarayen steel production increased by 60,000 tons

Full commissioning of Esfarayen Steel Company’s production plan, worth 100 million euros, will increase the capacity to melt and produce steel by to 60,000 tons raising the total production capacity to 180,000 tons.

Launch of the Esfarayen Industrial Complex and installation of continuous casting machines allows to increase the annual production capacity by 60,000 tones, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Last months, the steel parts have been produced domestically and for the first time, the tunnel boring machine, which were previously imported, have been produced in the country. This helped to reduce the production cost by 50 percent.

In addition, essential parts of the High pressure grinding rolls are also produced in the country for the first time, thus allowing to save tens of millions of euros annually.

The Luleh Gostar Esfarayen Company and the Esfarayn Industrial Complex, worth 400 million euros in investments, are located at the Esfarayen city at North Khorasan Province of Iran on an area of ​​210 hectares.
