Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region aims at further entrepreneurship support

In 2019 it is planned to allocate state grants for 200 young entrepreneurs, 200 families with multiple children and 100 unemployed people in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region, as part of realization of innovative business ideas, Trend reports via Inbusiness.

Krymbek Kusherbayev, the Head of the region stated that the main goal of the region’s akimat (administrative center) is to increase the percentage of small and medium business in the structure of the gross regional product from 14.4 percent to 20 percent by 2020.

“The active attraction of investments into the small and medium business sphere, as well as increase of export is necessary to do so,” said Kusherbayev.

Currently there are 51,358 entities of small and medium business registered in the region and 85.7 percent of them (44,083) are operating.

“Since the beginning of the year the number of small and medium business entities has increased by 1,741 and some 93,000 of region’s residents (third of the economically actively employed population) is employed in this sphere.

“By the end of 2019 the number of those employed in small and medium business is to reach 95,000 people,” the head of the region said.

Furthermore, Krymbek Kusherbayev mandated financial organizations to significantly contribute to unfolding entrepreneurship and to prevent difficulties in documentation application.
