The volume of container transport from China to Europe via the territory of Kazakhstan has significantly increased, Ruslan Dalenov, the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan said, Trend reports via KazInform.
He made the remarks when answering the questions of deputies during the plenary meeting of Kazakhstan Parliament Senate.
“The volume of container transport from China to Europe and vice versa increases each year. The number of container transport has already significantly increased and amounts to 300,000 containers,” the minister said.
Furthermore, he connected the increase to the fact that Kazakhstan transport infrastructure is in the process of development currently and the time duration of cargo transportation from China to Europe via the territory of Kazakhstan has significantly decreased which is bound to attract transporters.
The minister also stated that the sum of investments into transport logistics development amounted to $8 billion.
