Major Iranian companies produce 4M tons of iron ore concentrate

During the first month of this Iranian year (March 21-April 20, 2019), major Iranian companies produced more than four million tons of iron ore concentrate, Trend reports citing the website of Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Last year, 4,013,000 tons of iron ore concentrates were produced in Iran, whereas the figure for a preceding year was 4,068,000 tons.

Some 1,437,000 tons of iron ore concentrates were produced by the Gol-E-Gohar Iron Ore Company, 934,000 tons produced by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, 384,000 tons by Iran Central Iron Ore Company, 460,000 million tons by Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, and 378,900 million tons by Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company.

Moreover, 257,000 million tons of iron ore concentrates were produced by Opal Persian Sangan Industrial & Mining Company, 460,900 tons by National Industrial and Mineral Development Company (NIMIDCO), 35,700 tons by Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development, and 23,500 tons by Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex.

Furthermore, during this period, five major mining companies produced about 255,400 tons of iron ore pellets, which is a 45-percent decrease compared to the previous year (461,300 tons).

Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex produced 72,000 tons, Sangan Iron Ore Complex produced 1.83 million tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development - 53,600 million tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company - 47,700 million tons, and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company produced 20,000 tons.
