In January-April 2019, the volume of industrially produced goods and services in Baku amounted to 13 billion manats, Trend reports referring to a report by the Baku City Statistics Department.
In January-March, this figure stood at 9.8 billion manats.
“Mining industry made up some 81.6 percent of industrial production, followed by 16.2 percent for the processing sector, 1.6 percent for electricity, and 0.6 percent for the waste cleaning and recycling sector,” according to the report.
As noted, the share of the non-state sector in industry amounted to 83.2 percent, with the share of the industrial production in the total volume of production being 88.2 percent, and the share of industrial services being 11.8 percent.
"Most of the production was sent to consumers, taking into account the reserves created in previous periods. In the warehouses of industrial enterprises, as of May 1, 2019, stocks of finished products amounted to 245 million manats," the report says.
According to the report, other products are also available in the warehouses of industrial enterprises in the amount of 45.8 million manats, purchased from other enterprises and intended for sale.
