The opening of small enterprises for the production of milk and dairy products in the regions of Azerbaijan is expected this fall, Head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
According to her, new productions are planned to be launched in the regions of Azerbaijan in October of this year.
“We are planning to open small production facilities in order to support the development of women's entrepreneurship in the border regions of the country, considering the need to create new jobs there. The enterprises will produce environmentally friendly dairy products, including milk, cheese varieties, and qatiq [pasteurized sour clotted milk]. The association will provide financial, information and consulting support for women entrepreneurs in the regions. Our financial contribution to the creation of small enterprises will comprise 16 percent of their value. In parallel, we are going to provide free training services in the field," Babayeva said.
The Head of the Association noted that work in this direction has begun, and the first enterprise is planned to be opened in the Jabrayil district.
The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was established with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan in October 2017.
Over 143,000 women are engaged in business in Azerbaijan, according to the statistics.
