Volumes of oil extraction and electricity manufacturing decrease in Kazakhstan

In January-May 2019, the volume of manufactured electricity in Kazakhstan amounted to 44.343 billion kWh, which is 5.1 percent less than in the same period of last year, Trend reports referring to Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, during the same period, the volume of thermal energy manufacturing equaled to 44.323 gigacalories (-1.5 percent). The volume of oil extraction stood at 31.237 million tons, which is 2.9 percent less than in the same period of last year.

The volume of gas condensate extraction amounted to 5.263 million tons (-4.3 percent), of natural gas to 23.14 billion cubic meters (-3.1 percent), of coal to 45.559 million tons (-2.5 percent).

Furthermore, the volume of iron ore extraction amounted to 16.899 million tons (-2.6 percent), of copper ore to 46.673 million tons (+12.8 percent), of gold-bearing ore to 9.683 million tons (+26.8 percent), of chromium concentrate to 2.071 million tons (+8.6 percent).

The manufacturing of petrol during the reporting period amounted to 1.588 million tons, which is 12.6 percent more than in the same period of previous year.

The volume of manufactured kerosene equaled to 271,200 tons (+193.8 percent), of liquefied propane and butane to 1.024 million tons (-1.7 percent), of gasoil to 2.013 million tons (+13.1 percent), of mazut to 1.362 million tons (+3.8 percent).

The volume of ferroalloy manufacturing amounted to 882,200 tons (+4.7 percent), of refined lead to 56,000 tons (-12.4 percent), of zinc to 136,500 tons (-0.9 percent), of refined copper to 188,100 tons (+11.2 percent).
