The project on construction of a first integrated gas and chemical complex in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region is at the stage of building and installation work, press office of National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark special economic zone told Trend.
“The estimated output capacity of the manufacturing equals 500,000 tons of polypropylene a year. Currently the work on pile-driving is finished, work on foundation is proceeding,” the representative of SEZ said.
“The estimated volume of investments accounts to $2.6 billion. The project was launched in 2017. The framework of the projects was assessed to be 2017-2021,” added the representative of SEZ.
Company Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc is an operator of the project as well as the member of National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark SEZ.
The agreement on design, supply of equipment and construction was signed with Chinese company China National Chemical Engineering Co. Ltd.
