The flax manufacturing volume of Kazakhstan amounted to 930,000 tons in 2018, Trend quoted Agriculture Minister Saparkhan Omarov as saying.
Furthermore, the potato production increased to 3.8 million tons, whereas the vegetables output climbed to 4.1 million tons, the Agriculture Ministry reported.
“The export volumes are also increasing. Thus, the barley and soybean export volume doubled, the colza oil and tomato export volume increased by 1.4 times,” the report said.
“Out of 20.3 million tons of harvested crops some 1.7 million tons of seeds were exported from Kazakhstan, which is 33 percent more than in the same period of last year,” the minister said.
Currently the Chinese market is open for export of 13 types of products from Kazakhstan. Export of Kazakh products to China increased by 30.4 percent to $258.2 million.
Iran and Kazakhstan agreed on veterinary requirements on export of sheep, frozen and chilled mutton, beef and eggs.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan agreed on veterinary certificate on export of Kazakh large and small livestock for slaughter and breeding. Kazakhstan also exports beef and mutton to Bahrain.
Export of Kazakhstan with countries of Persian Gulf increased by 4.1 times to $3.6 million, with Iran by 2.1 times ($328.9 million), with countries of European Union by 14.6 percent ($303.6 million).
