Volume of deals on Uzbek commodity exchange doubles

Deals concluded on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) amounted to 1 billion soums in May 20-26, 2019, which is twice as high as the same indicator of the previous week, Trend reports with reference to UZEX.

The total amount of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship almost doubled and amounted to 552.5 billion soums.

The volume of exchange trading increased from 439.2 to 922.5 billion soums. The currency trading platform sold goods for the export in the amount of $4.9 million against $553.900 a week earlier.

The 41 percent of export accounted for cotton fiber of various grades, 32 percent for liquefied gas, 20 percent for polyethylene, and 7 percent for petroleum coke.

Similar changes were noticed in the exhibition and fair trade system, which reached 28.1 billion soums last week, and became two times more than in the previous week.

The amount of goods purchased by small businesses through online trading amounted to 5.9 billion soums, or 21 percent of the total amount of transactions.

Last week, transactions worth 65 billion soums were concluded through xarid.uz, a special information portal on public procurement.

The total savings of budget and corporate customers exceeded 12.9 billion soums.

In this period, 728 vehicle license plates were sold through online auction.

The cumulative amount of sold state license plates was about 3 billion soums.

As a result of competitive bidding, 22.4 percent of deals were made on premium class license plates, 48.2 percent of deals on category 2 and also 29.4 percent on category 3 of license plates.
