Kazakhstan develops new project in alternative energy sector

Three “green” projects worth 45.5 billion tenge are to be realized in West Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan, Trend reports referring to LS news agency.

“Currently, a solar energy plant, output capacity of which equals to 30 MW is being constructed in Zharma district of the region. The cost of the project amounts to 17.5 billion tenge. The construction will be finished in 4Q2019,” the report said.

“Another green project is a construction of a hydroelectric power plant with output capacity of 24.9 MW. The project is being realized in Turgusun settlement of Kazakhstan. The cost of the project amounts to 11.5 billion tenge. Its commissioning is expected in December 2019,” the statement said.

“Furthermore, the construction of a wind power plant in Ulanovsk district of the region has to be launched. The estimated output capacity of the plant equals to 25 MW, and the cost of the project stands at 16.5 billion tenge. The area of 25 ha was allocated for the construction work,” the source said.
