Kazakhstan to expand export routes

Kazakhstan plans to hold negotiations to expand export directions, said Saparkhan Omarov, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the ministry.

“Total export volume of agriculture complex of Kazakhstan in 2018 increased by 24.5 percent. Furthermore, the volume of export of processed products increased by 3.5 percent,” the Minister said.

“With the idea of further expansion of export to foreign markets, we plan to hold talks with countries such as Israel, Turkey, Kuwait, Oman, Japan, South Korea and countries of the European Union,” Omarov said.

He added that in 2018, Kazakhstan and China signed a roadmap on alignment of import requirements for priority agriculture products to be exported from Kazakhstan.

“Iran and Kazakhstan agreed on veterinary requirements on export of sheep, frozen and chilled mutton, beef and eggs. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan agreed on veterinary certificate on export of Kazakh large and small livestock for slaughter and breeding. Kazakhstan also exports beef and mutton to Bahrain,” added the minister.
