The cost of manufactured industrial production of Kazakhstan amounted to 11.8 trillion tenge during January-May 2019, which is two percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports referring to LS news agency.
In turn, the manufacturing in mining and quarrying industry increased by 0.7 percent and the manufacturing volume in processing industry increased by 3.6 percent.
The manufacturing volume of light industry increased by 23 percent, of beverages by 18.9 percent, of mechanical engineering by 16 percent, of wood and cork by 12.1 percent, of rubber and plastic products by 12 percent, of other non-metal products by 3.4 percent.
The manufacturing volume of electricity, gas supply and air conditioning increased by 1.3 percent mainly due to increase of manufacturing, transmission and distribution of electricity (+1.8 percent).
The decrease of manufacturing volume is observed in Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Mangystau and Pavlodar regions. In turn, the increase is observed in other 11 regions of the country.
