Some 27 biomass heat boilers are to be installed in North-Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan before the end of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the akimat (administrative center) of the region.

Usage of hay as fuel, environmental friendliness is among advantages of the boilers. According to Kumat Aksakalov, the Head of the Region, using boilers will also reduce budget expenditures.

“Flax is a highly cost-effective and export-oriented product. Hay is being used as alternative energy. Some 1.5 tons of flax product can replace one ton of coal,” Aksakalov said.

He further stated that by using boilers some 150 million tenge of budget assets were saved during last three years. Currently 61 budget facilities is connected to boilers.

“Overall we can save up to 500 million tenge of budget assets. Our goal is to connect to these boilers as much budget facilities as possible. The saved assets will be directed on road reconstruction and water supply,” the head of the region added.

Furthermore, these boilers will be manufactured in the capital of the region, i.e. Petropavl city. The boiler manufactured here is two times cheaper, than the one manufactured outside of the country. The head of the region also stated that only locally manufactured boilers will be installed in the region.
