Volume of cars sold in Kazakhstan amounts to over 24,000 in 5 months

The volume of sold passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Kazakhstan amounted to 24,700 units in January-May 2019, which is 19.9 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to KazAutoProm press office.

The percentage of locally manufactured cars in the structure of total volume of sold cars amounted to 55.6 percent, whereas the volume of sold import cars amounted to 44.4 percent.

LADA is the leader by volume of sale of new passenger cars with the sold volume of 6,000 units in the reporting period, which is 28.1 percent more, than in the same period of last year.

LADA is followed by Toyota and Hyundai with the sold volume of 5,400 units (+30.1 percent) and 4,600 units (+76.2 percent) respectively.

Some 65 percent of total volume of sales accounts for these three brands in the reporting period.

LADA is also a leader by sale of cars manufactured by Asia Auto and Saryarkaautoprom, with the sold volume of 5,900 cars in January-May 2019, which is 30.6 percent more than in the same period of last year.

The volume of KIA cars sold amounted to 1,600 units which is 54.9 percent more than in the same period of last year.

LADA Granta (2,100), Hyundai Tucson (1,600) and LADA 4x4 (1,400) are leaders by locally manufactured cars which were sold in the reporting period.

Furthermore, the volume of sold cars in May almost amounted to 6,200 units. Toyota (1,300 units), LADA (1,270 units) and Hyundai (1,200) are leaders once again.
