Uzbek Commodity Exchange concludes deals for $2.4 B

In the first half of 2019, the deals concluded on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) amounted to 20.949 trillion soums ($2.442 billion), Trend reports with reference to UZEX.

The total volume of transactions concluded on the stock exchange with the participation of small and private entrepreneurs amounted to 10.150 trillion soums, with an increase of 60 percent over the same period of 2018.

At the exchange trades, goods worth a total of 18.637 trillion soums were sold, which is 46.9 percent more than in the first half of 2018.

Enterprises-sellers received additional income due to the formation of real market prices in the amount of 1.087 trillion soums.

During the reporting period, the total volume of transactions in electronic public procurement amounted to 1,585 trillion soums, the total savings - to 308.5 billion soums.

Exhibition and fair deals were made for 653.4 billion soums with an increase of 3 percent. In addition, 17, 448 plates were sold through the online auction exchange totaling to 72.3 billion soums. The average cost of a transaction was 4.1 million soums.

Through the currency trading platform and the exhibition and fair trades of the exchange, products were exported for $76 million, which is 54.7 percent more than in the first half of 2018.

Furthermore, the structure of exchange exports was occupied by such commodity items as cotton fiber - 49.2 percent, polyethylene - 27.4 percent, oil products - 14.5 percent and liquefied gas - 9.3 percent.
