Goods exported via Iran’s Sarakhs customs increases

The export of goods through the Sarakhs customs of Iran’s north-eastern Razavi Khorasan province increased by 280 percent in terms of value during three months (March 21 – June 21) of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), customs officer in Razavi Khorasan province Umid Jahanhah said.

The export of goods through the Sarakhs customs increased by 334 percent in terms of weight, Jahanhah added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

He added that 265,600 tons of goods worth $12.2 million were exported via customs within three months.

Among the mainly exported products were cement, glass, gasoline, rubber goods, tomato paste, biscuit, marble, spare parts for paving equipment and healthcare devices, Jahanhah said.

He said that the products were exported to the Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Jahanhah said that 956,000 tons of products worth $408 million were exported through Razavi Khorasan customs and border markets within three months.

The export of goods increased by 62 percent during three months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year, he said.

There are five border customs offices and two border markets in Iran's Razavi Khorasan province.
