Turkish-Georgian trade decreases by more than $20M

The trade turnover between Turkey and Georgia decreased by $20.841 million in June 2019 (compared to June 2018), reaching $103.150 million, the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade told Trend.

"In June 2019, Turkey’s exports to Georgia amounted to $92.525 million, and imports to $10.625 million," the department said.

In January-June 2019, Turkey’s trade with Georgia decreased by $35.141 million to $ 772.167 million.

"In January-June 2019, Turkey’s exports to Georgia amounted to $630.520 million, and imports to $ 141.647 million," the ministry said.

According to the information, the trade turnover of Turkey and Georgia amounted to $1.548 billion in 2018.

In June 2019, Turkey’s foreign trade amounted to $26 billion.

"In June, Turkish exports decreased by 14.3 percent (when compared to June 2018) and amounted to $11.8 billion. Turkey's imports in June 2019 decreased by 22.7 percent (compared to June 2018) and amounted to $14.2 billion," the ministry said.
