Ground-breaking ceremony for Baikonur Solar’s solar park took place in Kazakhstan’s Kyzylorda region, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the region’s akimat (administrative center).
“The park is to supply the regional center and neighboring settlements with electricity, which will allow to decrease CO2 emission by 75,000 tons annually and to attract investments,” the report said.
“We are ready to help expand the project, which is being realized via state support. It is necessary to consider providing privileges to the residents of the settlements near the park via social benefits in the near future,” the Governor of the Region Kuanyshbek Iskakov said.
The project is financed by Kazyna Capital Management JSC and British Holding United Green. Following the launch of the park, 23 people will be employed there.
