Turkmen businessmen prepare to sign new contracts

Representatives of the Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are preparing to participate in the first Caspian Economic Forum to be held on August 11-12 in Avaza tourist zone, Trend reports referring to the Union.

Negotiations with delegations of business communities of foreign countries are planned. Following the talks, new contracts, agreements and treaties are expected to be signed to expand trade and economic cooperation and facilitate implementation of investment projects, mainly in the Caspian Sea.

From the Turkmen side, the representatives of big companies and enterprises specializing in the transport and logistics sector, the agricultural industry and the introduction of IT technologies will participate in the talks.

As part of the Forum, a conference and an innovation and auto industry exhibition will be held alongside sessions on the intensification of trade and economic relations and investment attractiveness in industry, energy, tourism and other sectors.

The Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs unites over 20,000 businessmen who, according to the local standards, are allowed to create joint ventures with foreign partners by attracting investments.

About 600 industrial enterprises operate in Turkmenistan. Among them are the enterprises producing building materials, textile and carpets, chemicals, metal products, furniture, earthenware, glass products, as well as plastic products that are in demand in the domestic and foreign markets.
